ABOUT ME
Hi, I’m Huanlin Hu, a Data & Geospatial Specialist with expertise in GIS (Geographic Information System) spatial analysis, data processing, environmental consultancy, and cartography. I combine data processing, geospatial modelling, and visualisation to uncover patterns, inform decision-making, and support sustainable urban and environmental projects.
My professional interests include urban planning, nature conservation, hazard and risk management, and projects that enhance the inclusivity, resilience, and sustainability of cities and communities.
Outside work, I enjoy reading, history, outdoor exploration, and map-making. I am inspired by the beauty and complexity of our planet, and I strive to reflect this perspective in my work.

Captured and maintained high-quality vector GIS datasets from authoritative sources, managing PostGIS databases and toponymic records while delivering accurate, deadline-driven outputs using efficient SQL queries.
Conducted detailed research on Sheffield’s social housing communities using network analysis to improve access to essential services under the 15-minute city concept.
Completed a Master’s degree in Applied GIS with merit , gaining strong skills in geospatial analysis, quantitative analysis, data visualisation, and academic research and writing.
Worked as a Technical Engineer, carrying out drawing modifications, conducting field surveys, and developing 3D building models to support the construction project.
